Experience

In our 3 main lines of business: Securities Lending, PiPE/Structured Equity and Equipment Leasing, we know many businesses come and go.

2010 was a turning point year for Southern Lending Solutions as Securities Lending took over to become our biggest line of business.

Here is a summary of what happened in 2010:

  1. SLS closed just short of $18 million in total lending volume
  2. SLS did business in 4 countries and with publicly listed companies on 4 different stock exchanges around the globe
  3. We expanded our resources to include 2 private investment funds for Securities Lending on a non-recourse basis and 3 banks recourse based lending.
  4. We expanded our resources in PiPEs to include 2 global based investment funds including one based here in the US and one based in the Far East
  5. The Far East became our biggest market this year with more than half of our deals coming from Singapore and Hong Kong
  6. Lastly, but by no means least, We opened up our Singapore office for Southern Lending Asia so we can have local representation in one of our best markets

It’s been a busy year for us as you can see and we look forward to expanding further into Asia and now into South America as well in the coming year.  In a business where so many people come and go so quickly, we felt it was important to show our clients and broker affiliates that we are here to stay.

Thank you for your continued business and support.

Sincerely,

Stu Lustman
